CALS Medic Responds to Report of Pedestrian Struck in St-Leonard

At approximately 1500 today the Calvert 911 system experienced a surge of multiple ALS calls within the county. The ALS units began to respond to their dispatched calls, M101 (PMIC A. Freeman) was alerted to the report of "a man bloodied and laying in the roadway" in the St-Leonard area. St-Leonard VFD units arrived on scene to find the same and requested aviation transport for the patient. M101 arrived on scene to immediately provide care with the assistance of EMS Captain 7 (CALS PMIC C. Bennett). The patient was packaged and transported to a nearby LZ to be flown to a local trauma center.
