On Friday the 27th of October 2023 CALS was given the honor to fill in as an EMS Supervisor in Baltimore City while the BCFD paid respects to its fallen member FF/EMT Rodney Pitts. FF Pitts and Captain Rinaldo tragically died while fighting a house fire in the city earlier in the week. CALS along with other departments from all across Maryland and the District of Columbia filled in for the BCFD allowing all of their members to be off duty for a 12 hour period. CALS M105 was staffed by Captain Caleb Cobb and PMIC John Rigg and they were assigned to cover BCFD EMS4 in the north east sector of the city. M105 crews was responsible for EMS supervision of 4 ALS and 5 BLS transport units in their battalion. M105 ran a few medical calls and assisted their transport units through out the day before being relieved by BCFD EMS4 at approximately 1700.

Units from all over Maryland and the District of Columbia lined up for the briefing at 0600 before going into Baltimore to cover.
