Today, members from CALS took a representative from the Morris Co NJ Sheriffs office out on Boat 10 to showcase its capabilities. The Morris Co Sheriffs Office has been looking to purchase a new boat for their department and were interested in the (Rigid hull Inflatable Boat) design as a potential candidate for their department. The Sgt from Morris Co spent a few hours on the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay putting Boat 10 through multiple test and different sea conditions to showcase its capabilities. CALS shared the lessons learned with Boat 10 over the past 3 years and the changes we have made to the boat and its trailer. Boat 10 has found a unique niche in the Southern Maryland region and has been requested multiple times in the tri-county area to assist with special events and searches.
