On Saturday, August 24th CALS assisted the St Leonard VFD with a standby for "PyroJam24". This was the 3rd annual event in which an open air music venue is combined with a massive fireworks show. The event is held at Jefferson Paterson Park in St. Leonard and is attended by thousands of patrons on land and in boats in the Patuxent River. CALS assisted with a dedicated unit for this event on land (PMIC C. Bennett) as well as Boat 10 (Capt. McKeever, PMIC Laska) on the river. Other volunteer staffed medic units remained in the area and covered County CALS during this event. The event was a huge success and we hope to see even more people at next year's PyroJam25.
