CALS Handles Multiple Trauma Calls over the Weekend
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Chief of CALS Chris Shannon FTO
February 6, 2017

This past weekend was incredibly busy for CALS paramedics, not only did they run multiple medical calls but they also ran 4 very serious trauma calls. The first was mutual aid to Charles County for the rollover, then later on that evening they were dispatched for a pediatric pedestrian struck in St-Leonard. Little did they know the night was just getting started, at approximately 0400 they were dispatched to a stabbing in the Ranch Club, this patient was quickly packaged and flown out to PG trauma. Lastly early in the hours of Sunday night/Monday morning units were dispatched to the report of an mvc with ejection. Units arrived to find a adult subject ejected from his vehicle suffering from severe facial trauma, this patient was also quickly packaged and flown to a local trauma center. A huge thank you goes out to all the paramedics that helped CALS cover all of the calls over the weekend.
