By Chief of CALS Chris Shannon FTO
October 10, 2018

Tuesday 10/09/18 proved to be a difficult day for the medics of Calvert County starting out early at 0730 the calls began and they did not stop until around 7 pm that evening. Medics responded to a bicyclist struck, multiple medical calls, a call for a child with a broken femur after a fall and a STEMI that resulted in a flyout. Lt 10 (Youngblood) and his intern (A. Joslyn) were in M104 and handled the majority of the calls. PMIC Davekos in M101 handled all the "second calls" for the medic as well as the pediatric traumatic injury and Chief 10 handled the "third call" for the medic. All the calls were covered and no one provider got the brunt of having to cover 15-20 calls. Thank you to all the crews and medics that helped us get through the day.

Units: M104, M101, Chief 10
